Week 5 (Feb 1-7): In the Kitchen
My sister-in-law, Bec, and I are blessed with husbands who love to cook.
I have to say that I’ve never cooked a roast, a BBQ or a pizza in our pizza oven. My hubby, John, does it all and is an amazing cook. Even though we have nearly every Jamie Oliver cook-book ever produced he uses them more for inspiration to add new dishes to his repertoire.

I was lucky enough to convince John to build a house in Geelong (my home town) where we were able to live for about 5 years.
Probably one of the best memories was the cook-ups John and my brother Mick, did for us on a Saturday arvo. Bec and I would sit and catch up on the week as our hubbies pottered around in the kitchen cooking up magnificent feasts. The kitchen would fill up with heavenly smells which left us with watering mouths just hanging out for them to say it was ready.
They would love to experiment and come up with concoctions that luckily always tasted amazing. They never got it wrong.

It’s now been over 10 years since we moved away but I still fondly remember our Saturday night cook & catch ups.
